What Ancient Temple Builders Knew That Modern Architects Forgot

We build taller, faster, and with more technology than ever before. And yet structures built over a thousand years ago without cranes, computers, or engineering software are still standing : earthquake-resistant, astronomically precise, and structurally sound. This isn't mythology. It's documented by the Archaeological Survey of India, UNESCO, and researchers worldwide. Here is what ancient Indian temple builders actually knew and what modern construction is only beginning to rediscover. About me

Nomoshkar! I'm Mitu B. : welcome to Facile Architecture.

I'm a Senior BIM Architect with over 7 years of experience in architecture and building information modelling, currently based in Navi Mumbai, India.

I hold a Bachelor of Architecture degree (Gold Medallist) and have worked across architectural documentation, BIM coordination, and US residential construction support : primarily with home builders across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

What I work on:

  • BIM coordination and management in Revit and AutoCAD Architecture
  • US home builder support : Master Sets, Lot Sets, CD and Permit Sets
  • Large scale commercial and infrastructure projects

 Why this blog?

I started Facile Architecture in 2020 as a hobby during an uncertain time : a way to channel my love for architecture into something meaningful. What began as case studies on temples and architectural history has grown into something broader.

Today the blog covers everything from ancient Indian temples to US residential construction documentation : written simply, backed by real experience.

Hobbies: Sketching, painting, reading, writing and cooking.
