Nobody reads the schedules. Until a window shows up in the wrong size. Then everybody reads the schedules. Door and window schedules are the coordination backbone of any residential set. They connect what's shown on the floor plan to what gets ordered, delivered, and installed. When they're wrong — or when nobody checked them — the consequences show up at the worst possible time. What it shows: Every door and window in the project listed by mark number Size — width, height, and rough opening dimensions Type — swing, sliding, fixed, casement, etc. Material and finish — wood, vinyl, aluminum, painted, stained Hardware requirements Fire rating where required Notes on special conditions — tempered glass, egress compliance How schedules connect to the rest of the set: Every door and window on the floor plan has a mark — a number or letter in a circle or tag.
